Imagine all the things that are going through your head while you are riding a helicopter. Yup, you heard me right, a helicopter, a trendy ride for military men and women, and the rich.

Riding an airplane sure is different than that in a helicopter for a lot of reasons. Just by watching movies, you know that riding a helicopter seems so unsafe. Well, you ride with at least 50 people in an airplane with air-conditioning and snacks minus all the noise while in a helicopter – you always see that people wear headphones while talking with each other because it’s noisy. Something you can avoid while in-plane, but that sure is something cool if you’re into experiencing just that.

So a few years ago, ride-sharing has been a thing in the Philippines. It included Grab, Uber, and today, we have Angkas where you hitch a ride with a driver of a motorcycle. Soon after that, a new ride-sharing service came with a promise to reduce your travel time dramatically – both due to traffic and the ride you’re about to share – a helicopter ride. I am surprised at how developed the country is at this rate. Although I won’t use this service on my own, I thought helicopter rides as presents for your loved ones would surely be awesome.

Where to Book a Helicopter Ride

If you have checked online, Ascent Helicopters Philippines (Urban Air Mobility) is already doing this service in the country. Imagine not worrying about traffic on your way to the airport or to that business trip on the opposite side of where you live. And can you imagine how other people would react seeing you in a helicopter for that matter? What are the chances that you’ll be arriving in a meeting way ahead of schedule? Too many exciting things entering my mind as I imagine all this.

The airport transfers that Ascent Helicopters Philippines offer is:

Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Bonifacio Global City

– A 10-minute flight (imagine that!) for Php 8 900/seat. That’s around $178.

Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Clark International Airport

– A 35-minute flight for Php 26 900 or $538.

There are also different categories on the services that Ascent offers business trips, weekend getaways, and experiences. Helicopter ride rates are available on their website, which you should check out. Their services are not as much as you’d hope, but it sure is a start in the right direction.  Its quite impossible to find a cheap helicopter ride manila. Yep, it is pricey, but worth it.

Helicopter Tours in the Philippines

Are you interested in helicopter tours? Like the ones you can see in movies? Some companies in the Philippines offer that here too. Viator has Air, Helicopter, and Balloon Tours, which include tours in Manila, Boracay, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Corregidor, Masungi Georeserve, Taal Volcano in Tagaytay and so much more. The helicopter ride rates range from $100 – $460 for a 10-minute to 4-5 hour rides. You can also get a Palawan helicopter ride or a helicopter tour in Cebu.

These helicopter ride rates are pretty incredible. For a chance to ride a helicopter around the country, whether that is airport to airport or another city, an anniversary present for your special someone, the memories are hopefully going to be as wonderful as much as you’d imagine it to be.

I can’t imagine anyone paying that amount of money for something that is not in their bucket list or for someone you love (unless you’re super-rich) but the memories you’ll be able to create and the photos you’ll be able to make will surely be viral in your IG or Facebook!
