Were you one of the shoppers who checked if the items in your wishlist scored a great discount during the Amazon Prime Day?
Well, you’re not alone!
I was one of the shoppers who participated in this year’s Amazon Prime Day and for its entirety, I truly enjoyed the thrill of putting items in my cart and at the same time, self-control is dread. Assessing which ones can fit the budget and which ones are better off for a next purchase was a challenge!
On the positive side, I have an Amazon Prime Membership which makes the Prime Day extra special for shoppers like me and it starts with the shipping of the product.
What is an Amazon Prime Membership?
Amazon Prime is a service offered by Amazon.
It requires payment to get this service. It costs $119 per year or $12.99 per month. that gives Amazon shoppers a variety of perks from shipping to entertainment as well as exclusive discounts, deals and access to exclusive products.
On the other hand, students are given a generous price break. Amazon Student accounts get many of the same Prime benefits, and it’s free for the first six months. After that, you will need to subscribe to Prime, but at a 50 percent discount. During the six-month trial, students can get free shipping but will not be able to access streaming video and music or borrow Kindle books.
However, they will receive full Prime benefits if they choose to subscribe at the discounted price afterward. They’ll also get access to exclusive deals, such as specials on video game pre-orders.
Another good news on membership costs for EBT and Medicaid cardholders who verify a valid EBT (including WIC, TANF, or SNAP) or Medicaid (including Medi-Cal) card, they are eligible to receive Prime benefits at a discounted charge of $5.99 per month for a maximum of four years.
If you’re a student, get your FREE 6-month trial now.
But don’t just take it from me if you cannot relate as an online shopper, many members of Amazon Prime enjoy unique perks that bring convenience, cash savings and entertainment service that you don’t get from many platforms.
In my personal experience, it’s worth it. But here’s our list and read for yourself what makes Amazon Prime Membership worth it:

9. Free Unlimited Photo Storage with Prime
The unlimited word keeps on getting better! You do get unlimited cloud storage for photos. This uses the Amazon Drive app to upload pictures from phones and tablets, but there’s also a desktop app (for Windows and Mac) that can archive photos from your hard drive. In addition, Prime Photos gives you 5GB of storage for documents and videos.
10. Parents with Prime can share Prime benefits with their teen at no additional cost
If the price of Amazon Prime Membership is not convincing you that much, why not try membership sharing? Most of us, Prime Members don’t know this benefit.
Tag another adult inside your house and create an Amazon Household account to share certain Amazon Prime benefits. Furthermore, your Amazon Household that has shared and paid Amazon Prime Membership also allows up to four teens (ages 13-17) to include and let them create their own profiles for shopping and streaming.
Amazon Household allows you to share Amazon benefits with another adult, teens, and children in your household. Both adults share select Prime Benefits, digital content using Family Library, and can manage the profiles of teens and children in the Household. Teens in the household can share select Prime benefits too.
Do you know that Amazon Household can contain up to ten members?
- Two adults (ages 18 and over), each with their own Amazon account.
- Up to four teen profiles (available for ages 13 through 17), which allow teens to have their own Amazon login to shop or stream content while still keeping their parents informed.
- Up to four child profiles (suggested for ages 12 and under), which can be used on Amazon experiences geared towards children like Amazon FreeTime; child profiles are not enabled to shop on Amazon.
