Lately, we’ve seen a different feel in Philippine Movies, but Sarah Geronimo’s Unforgettable is certainly setting a new trend.
The flood of emotions was priceless inside the Cinema 1 of SM Megamall during its Premiere Night on October 21, 2019. Renowned actors, actresses graced the said red carpet event, and just like one of our Wonder Pinay digital angels, they also saw a prolific way of bringing out another version of an award-winning actress and performer The Sarah Geronimo.
But what sets this film apart from all the others? How will Unforgettable set a new trend in the Philippine Movies?
1. The first Philippine movie featuring a pet dog.
“Happy” who in real life is called “Milo” is a well-trained wonder dog, a jack russell. His intelligence and skills in this movie is a must-see. While you’ve been seeing him in tv shows, there’s more to expect from this wonder dog.
This is the bravest by far that Viva Films could have done being the first filmmakers in the country to feature a pet. However, the strengths of both Milo and Sarah Geronimo has certainly wowed every single audience in the cinema during the premiere night. For sure, you’ll be in awe as well and wish for more of Milo.
2. Sarah G without a leading man.
Our culture includes watching feel-good movies, particularly one that sends out “kilig” vibes along the way, and that’s because of “movie couples” on film. Unforgettable has a different take this time.
Sarah Geronimo has proven her prowess in both acting, singing, and dancing. She’s a total performer. Apart from that, she was hailed a Box Office Queen in 2014 by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards. But do you remember her in a film without a leading man? We recognize that she has been paired with equally competitive actors – John Lloyd Cruz, Piolo Pascual, and Coco Martin, to name a few. So, people will ask if she will prove victorious with Unforgettable without a leading man.
Every single Popster (Sarah G’s fans) or even not should expect more from her in this movie. The people behind this film was able to achieve in bringing out a different version of an actress in THE Sarah Geronimo.

3. Film of mixed emotions.
In the trailer, people may already expect heavy drama from this film, especially that Miss Gina Pareno, who plays as Jasmine’s (Sarah) grandma, is a versatile actress. While there is, as you may bring a box of tissues with you when you watch it, you’ll find so much humor, especially with the “Pambansang Bestfriend,” now “Pambansang Jowable” Kim Molina present – Chuchay is a joy in every inch of despair.
The presence of the biggest stars in this movie is something to look forward to as you will find how Sarah Geronimo plays her role along with the great actors and actresses of the country, including Tirso Cruz III, Regine Velasquez, and Anne Curtis among others you don’t want to miss.
Be taken aback, be brought forth, shed tears, love, and laugh to a whole new experience with Jasmine and Happy in their tough journey back home. Unforgettable is showing on October 23, 2019, in cinemas near you. And oh, yes, it is rated G.
